What is the difference between Digital and other printing types (Offset, Flexo, ect)?Updated 2 years ago

Digital printing is different from other printing types because the machines that run digital prints don’t require the same setup of plates and ink that other printing types do. Digital printing is run in CMYK, and can have much lower minimum order quantities due to the quick setup. Other styles of printing such as Offset and Flexo require physical plates to be made and pre-mixed inks to be put in the machine in order to get setup for printing. Non-digital forms of printing have a much higher cost for lower order quantities, but end up being much cheaper for larger order quantities. Digital printing is great for smaller jobs and often has a much shorter lead time.
